Teach Your Children Well
It is finally time to teach the Princess to knit. I told her she needed to learn how to tie a knot and a bow, the good 'ole rabbit ears, and by golly she did it. We had our first quick lesson on Sunday night.
She picked a set of pink plastic needles that I had in my collection and some pink yarn, of course. I casted on for her to make it easier for her. She put her hands on mine and off we went. We did two rows this way and then she did a row herself, sort of. She didn't get too frustrated and I was really proud of her. I know it is going to take her a while to get it on her own but she really has the drive to learn and she really wants something that she and I can be passionate about together.
I spend a lot of time with Miss Sunshine either taking her to appointments or doing therapy at home, I want something the Princess and I can have for the two of us that we can do where ever. The Princess decided it should be knitting and I completely agree with her. You should just see the excitement in her face and twinkle in her eyes.

Yay! Getting the next generation hooked early. BTW, I just finished a surprise for you. I want to get a couple more things to top off the package and then it will be on its way to you!
Exceptionally exciting! I wish I had a little girl to teach to knit. :(
I'm sure there is some twinkling in your eye, too, Mama! Good for you for teaching her right!
Yay for the Princess!
WTG Princess! That's really nice that you have a hobby you can share. Is she going to knit some clothes for her doll?
