Hanukkah - 8th and final night

Fully lit Hanukkiot or Hanukkah Menorahs will glow brightly tonight. I love the last night of Hanukkah and seeing the entire Menorah lit up. It is so beautiful.
The holiday technically ends tomorrow at sundown since all of our holidays are sundown to sundown, sort of like Christmas which has an "eve" in it but, we don't light candles tomorrow. Tonight is the last time and then we put the menorah, the candles, the dreidels and any decorations away till next year.
We have our huge fun celebration with the kids tonight where I work which should be a ton of fun. My students can't wait.
I hope everyone learned a little something new about Hanukkah this year. Happy holidays. Enjoy your holiday what ever you celebrate and on with the knitting!!!

Hope you all enjoyed your Hanukkah! I have enjoyed learning more about it..you kinda filled in the blank spots that MIL could never remember. I will have to remember to put the 2 Menorahs in with the Christmas stuff so I remember where they are at :)

Your swap pal did excellant! Love all the different yarns.
Enjoy your final night!

Thanks for sharing about Hanukkah. My family has some Jewish background but I've never had anyone to teach me all of this. It's really neat to learn it all!

Oh and I must say.... you're an excellent friend!! I've been gazing at Anne, Chan, and Jessi's Hanukkah packages. That bra bag is absolutely hilarious. My sister had a purse in the shape of a corset that I was so jealous of. It was one of those elegant side-lace-up ones too.

Happy Hanukkah!

I'm glad you had such a wonderful holiday. I work at a Jewish hospital and we've had beautiful (albeit electric) Menorah's up all week. It's a lot of fun to be able to mix everyone's traditions at work and essentially celebrate for the entire month of December.
