The Start of the Mother's Day Gifts

I figured since it is less that two weeks away we had better start our Mother's day gifts so, we began our gifts today. We started the tradition when the Princess was 3 years old for the girls to make handmade gifts for their grandmothers and Aunts (and grandfather and father for father's day) because if comes from the heart and is something they would keep for years to come or so one would think.
As you might recall, we decided to take their spring school pictures and make hand painted and hand decorated wooden frames. We began the painting process today.
Little Miss Sunshine decided she had enough after she helped clean the work area, set up the work area, put out the newspaper, put out the paints, the frames and glued the pictures. It was quite a lot of work for a 4 year old to handle so, I was surprise she made it that far. We did all that before the Princess got off the bus. She did get two frames painted, the green ones of course (two at the top left)
The rest were/are being painted by the Princess. As you can tell they are being done in some very lovely shades of pink and purple. The girl does take after her Mother. She did decide to do one Rainbow one which she is in the process of and has taken her well over an hour because she is blending her own colors. AH such the young artist.
When they dry, either tonight or tomorrow, they will get a coat of glitter paint because of course we need some sparkle and then some other decoration like jewel stickers or painted wooden shapes and then some very nice packaging and we will be ready for Mother's Day. Don't worry, I will make sure to taken some snapshots of the final products.
